Iconic Road Running Relay

The Takahe to Akaroa Relay is an historic New Zealand road relay running for over 75 years. The event brings together teams of all ages from across the country to compete over a 48 mile course from the Sign of the Takahe to the town of Akaroa on Christchurch’s spectacular Banks Peninsula.

Is this your first time running the iconic Takahē to Akaroa or the Allandale to Cooptown relays? If you haven't been an athletics member before, you will automatically go in the draw to win a kayak tour for two with Pohatu Penguin Eco Tours. It is our way to reward someone who is obviously not afraid of joining in outdoor adventures.
